Anarchism and Other Essays
Twelve essays on anarchism, prisons, patriotism, marriage and the political uses of violence, by the woman J. Edgar Hoover later called the most dangerous anarchist in America. The collection includes her defence of free speech written while she was repeatedly arrested for exercising it, and an account of political violence that explains without endorsing — which was enough to have the book seized. Preservation is not endorsement.
